Drip flashing edge is typically a ten-foot piece of steel, aluminum, or vinyl that is bent in an L-shape. The lip of one side of the L angles outward. This edge goes against the shed roof flashing, with the jut facing outward. Since the other end is nailed to the OSB underneath the roof felt, water that beads off the shingles drips onto the drip edge.
